NEW: Mine Scanning with LiDAR
INDUSTRY: MINING
Dive deep underground with us as we conduct advanced mine scanning using state-of-the-art LiDAR survey technology in a historic mine in the western United States. This video highlights how 3D scanning is revolutionizing mining feasibility studies, providing essential data to evaluate underground shafts, adits, tunnels, drifts, stopes and more to study the potential for reopening this site.
Experience the challenges and precision of underground LiDAR scanning as our team gathers detailed insights that could shape the future of mining in this region.
3D Mine Mapping with Drones
INDUSTRY: MINING
Darling Geomatics combines LiDAR with advanced autonomous and AI-powered drones to safely inspect and survey the conditions of underground mines — saving time, protecting personnel safety, and delivering accurate, measurable, and repeatable 3D data for engineering and geological planning.
3D Laser Scan of UNLV Biotech Research Building
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
For a renovation project, Darling Geomatics scanned approximately 30,000 square feet of UNLV's Biotech Research building at the Shadow Lane campus using 3D laser scanning.
3D Laser Scan of Cotton Bowl Stadium
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION, GOLF & SPORTS
To deliver precise as-built models, Darling Geomatics used 3D laser scanning to scan the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas during a construction phase.
Monsoor DDG 1001 Deckhouse Lift
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
In this critical manufacturing phase, Darling Geomatics used 3D laser scanning to help General Dynamics Bath Ironworks perform clash detection before a colossal lift.
Drone Based Water Flow Analysis
INDUSTRY: CIVIL ENGINEERING
Darling Geomatics provided digital simulated water flows using UAV (drone) data so an engineering firm could calculate water flow, changes during higher flows, and design roadways and bridges to avoid those areas.
3D Laser Scanning - Historical Preservation
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
3D laser scanning is ideal for historical documentation and/or rehabilitation of historically sensitive areas. The data that Darling Geomatics collects during 3D laser scanning accurately documents existing conditions without disturbing fragile areas. The 3D data for the San Xavier Mission in Tucson, Arizona was used by engineers, technicians and specialists to document the historical site, and successfully guide repair and restoration work.
3D Scanning for the Mining Industry

This example shows a complete data set including surface, shaft and underground workings.
Leica TruView - Visualize 3D point Cloud Data
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
Measure, mark up and coordinate projects with Leica's TruView software.
3D Laser Scanning - Pebble Beach (17th Green)
INDUSTRY: GOLF & SPORTS
Darling Geomatics has performed many scans at some of the most famous golf corses in the US. Pebble Beach (California), TPC Sawgrass (Florida), Bethpage Black (New York), Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain (Arizona) and Congressional Country Club (Maryland) are all included. The data from these scans were used on the NBC Television network for computer animated flythroughs and graphics. Our data has been used for the US Open, the Accenture Match Play and the Players Championship.
3D Laser Scanning - Former School Building in Douglas, Az
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION, HEALTHCARE
Darling scanned this historic schoolhouse in Douglas, Arizona. The building was being converted to a clinic.
Hyperspectral Imaging with a Hercules Drone
INDUSTRY: MINING (FUTURE: AGRICULTURE)
Discover surface minerals you never knew existed or check crop yield with unequaled precision utilizing the science and technology of LIDAR and Hyperspectral Photometry.
International Airport Terminal Reconstruction
INDUSTRY: AIRPORTS, CONSTRUCTION
Darling Geomatics performed 3D Laser Scanning and surveying on two levels of an international airport terminal that was being reconstructed. The end result was a highly accurate and detailed Revit model that saved 60 days in design time.
